QIBLA VISTA

Privacy Policy

Updated 26 October 2026 · Android package: com.qiblavista.app

This policy explains how Qibla Vista handles information when you use its compass, satellite map, camera guidance and advertising features. For questions, contact dkkworld6@gmail.com.

Location and saved preferences

With your permission, the app obtains your location to calculate the Qibla bearing and distance to the Kaaba. Automatic updates run while the app is in use, and stop when it goes into the background. You can instead enter coordinates or choose a preset city without granting location permission.

The phone’s address lookup service may receive coordinates to find the city and country. This service is provided by your device/platform provider. Satellite map requests go to Esri and include the map tiles for the area you view. Those services receive your IP address and handle requests under their own privacy practices.

If Remember location is enabled, the selected location is stored in protected storage on your phone until you turn that option off, choose Forget location, or remove the app’s data. The app also saves settings needed for its operation. Qibla Vista does not require an account or operate an account-registration server.

Camera and direction sensors

Camera access displays a live rear-camera preview. Qibla Vista does not record or upload the camera images. Orientation and magnetic sensor readings support the direction guide. The app does not request microphone recording or access to your photo library.

Advertising and consent

The Android app uses Google AdMob banner ads. Google’s Mobile Ads SDK can process IP addresses, app/ad interactions, diagnostics and device identifiers for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. An IP address can indicate an approximate location.

The app requests an update from Google’s User Messaging Platform at launch and presents a consent message when required. Ads are requested only when that platform permits them. Where required, Help includes Ad privacy choices so you can revisit your preferences. Your choices and applicable settings determine which ads can be served. Qibla direction features remain available if an ad cannot be shown.

You can also manage advertising identifiers through Android’s privacy settings. Google’s handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. More detail about the ads SDK is available in Google’s Mobile Ads data disclosure.

Your choices

Third-party services and retention

Ad and map connections use HTTPS/TLS. Google, the device’s address-lookup provider and Esri process service requests under their own policies, including retention periods and available controls. See Esri’s privacy information for the map provider’s practices. Clearing local app data does not itself delete records retained by those providers.

If you email support, your message and contact details are used to respond to your request. Avoid sending information that is unnecessary for your support question.

Updates and contact
